No pressure here…
Ok, so this is it. My first post. No pressure here, just be myself. Just be me…. who am I? Well now, that depends…I am many things to many people - wife, mom, sister, friend, neighbor, business associate, and now - blogger!
I’ve wanted to join the bogging world for a while now but quite frankly haven’t had the courage. I’m not a writer per se, nor is my life particulary fascinating. I am not a fabulous crafter like so many other bloggers, I am not a designer extroardinaire with my talents showcased on my blog. But to me my life is interesting and boring, gratifying and tiring, hectic and peaceful - all those things so many other peoples lives are made up of. And having been an avid lurker on so many of my favorite websites - if I have learned anything it’s how much of a community the blogging world is. You are supportive and opinionated, honest and caring and very communicative!
And so here I am. Once the decison was made with a bit of prompting from my oldest daughter Nicole (and a whole lot of help - she designed this beautiful web site for me) and some teasing from my second eldest Ashley - the process began.
Nicole is the brains and beauty behind pinklovesbrown.com and makingitlovely.com and she offered to create this lovely blog for me and worked with me during the whole creative process. And by creative process, I mean she was creative and I gave vague answers as to how I wanted the site to look, what type of font I like, etc. And yet, she designed the site just perfectly, exactly what I wanted even though I wasn’t sure what I wanted. She’s just that good.
Then, during the whole creative process I found out Nicole was expecting. What joyous wonderful news! Do you know how hard it would have been for me to start my blog and not share the news? I am not good with secrets!! SO now she has made the announcement on her blog and I can officially shout to the world - YAY I’m Gonna Be a GRANDMA!
Funny thing too, since my youngest little girl is 21 months old and my son Ross is 4 and 1/2, and they will be auntie and uncle! It will be nice for them to grow up together. Ashley is just waiting to meet her new little neice or nephew. It’s a different feeling - knowing your daughter will now be a mother - she will experience all of the joys and trials and love of parenthood. Nicole and Brandon will make wonderful parents.
And to that long list of who I am, I will be able to add one more name - Grandma.
I promise all my posts won’t be this long. I’m just happy to be here. I look forward to meeting you. And a big THANK YOU to Nicole and Ashley for your encouragement and support!
Maybe for my next post, I can figure out how to post pictures!

Oh boy! I’m the first to comment on your first post! Welcome to the blogosphere! And looky you - a grandma-to-be with a toddler in tow! Love it! You are in for some good times!
I think you’re off to a lovely start - welcome to the blogging world.
Hi mom! I’m glad you finally started your ‘weblog’.
Hi mom! Very nice! So I’m feeling a little pressure to start my own “weblog”! Although, some stories are better left untold… Congratulations and I’m very proud of you. I look forward to reading more!
